Parishioners gather for worship on a Sunday morning at All Saints Anglican Church in Springfield, MO.

As you may be aware, in mid-June the Provincial Council of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) voted to approve the formation of the Anglican Diocese of the Mid-South (ADOMS), and we are excited to be one of the now fifteen churches who will participate in this new work.

The Steering Committee has been meeting for several months in preparation for this moment and continues to lay the groundwork for the formal establishment of this new diocese in November.

Furthermore, a Committee for the Nomination of Bishop has been established consisting of three clergy and three lay members from Mid-South parishes that is tasked with vetting, interviewing, and then presenting at least two candidates for election sometime next Spring.

During this time of transition, we encourage you as follows:

  • Stay informed by visiting the new website for ADOMS and signing up to receive email updates.
  • Pray regularly for both the Steering Committee as well as the Committee for the Nomination of Bishop.
  • Consider supporting this new ministry financially. At this early stage in the formation of this new diocese, donations to ADOMS are processed by the Anglican Diocese of the South.
