Join Us in the Work of Youth Formation

Some of the most important and influential people in my life were those who volunteered in my youth group when I was a teenager. They took an interest in me, visited me at school, came to my basketball games, gave me rides to and from events before I was old enough to drive, and in so many ways, modeled the way of Jesus.

I don’t know where or who I would be without them. They changed my life.

Today I’m writing to invite you to consider serving in our ministry to youth: to be those same kind of people who change lives by pursuing our teenagers with the love of Jesus.

We already have a fantastic group of 25+ students (from All Saints and Mission Saint James) who participate in Youth Encounter on Wednesday evenings, and 15+ on Sunday mornings during Youth Formation. We are looking to add 5–8 adults to our team of volunteers to help in either of these two weekly events.

If you’re interested and have a genuine desire to see students encounter the love of Jesus and to grow in the practice of their faith, please let me know and I’ll be glad to speak further with you about what this ministry opportunity might look like for you (email Fr. Wes).

The teen years are an absolutely crucial season of identity formation and decision making, which means our ministry to youth is incredibly important. Let’s remember: It takes a church to raise a Christian!
