ASIS Celebrates 5 Years of Serving the Immigrant Community

This November, ASIS celebrates five years of serving our community! We could not have reached this milestone without the ongoing support of All Saints Anglican Church. Back in 2017, I saw a growing need for immigration legal services in our area. With the encouragement and partnership of All Saints members, we opened our doors in 2020.

What an incredible journey it has been. Over these five years, we have walked alongside more than 500 families as they’ve faced some of the most difficult and life-changing decisions imaginable. I am deeply grateful for our caring, compassionate, and highly skilled staff who show up every day with dedication and heart.

We have witnessed many injustices experienced by our immigrant neighbors—moments that stir deep anger but also reveal the beauty of Christ at work through people across our city. Immigration is complex and often politically charged, yet I’m thankful to be part of a church that chooses to see the humanity of our neighbors, affirming that every person is made in the image of God and deeply loved—especially those fleeing violence in search of safety and hope.

Thank you for being a community that provides a space of welcome, hope, and dignity for so many.

As we celebrate five years, we are also expanding our office space to include a small conference room and additional workspace for staff and interns. This will allow us to serve our clients more effectively as we continue to grow. If you are able, considering purchasing an item off our Wish List to fill up our new space or give financially so that we can continue this important work.

With gratitude,

Stacy Preston
