The pace and press of life can leave us distracted and out of touch with this “dwelling place” within. Centering prayer is a contemplative practice that aims to help us abide in the living presence of Christ while we work and serve in the world. If you are interested in trying this silent prayer practice, feel free to drop in once or as often as you like to pray with others. Join a small group who meet in Fr. Wes’ office every Thursday from 6:30–7:30 pm for 30 minutes of centering prayer followed by 30 minutes of lectio divina. You can also practice centering prayer every Tuesday from 4:00 to 4:30 pm at Steven and Sally Swanson’s at 12 Silver Leaf Drive. Informational flyers on centering prayer are available on the table in the foyer.
