Call to Small Group Bible Study

Tuesday Night Small Group

Know you need to study your Bible consistently…BUT… Don’t know where to begin? If so, why not consider joining one of All Saints’ small weeknight groups?  And if Tuesday nights are good for you, please come and try us out!

All Saints’ Tuesday night small group, already has a rich history of  studies, including the complete books of Deuteronomy, Joshua, Obadiah (including the Judgments of the Bible), Acts, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, I & II Timothy, and Titus.  In addition, we have examined Joseph as a type of Messiah in Genesis, the Tabernacle in the wilderness, end-time prophecy, and a just ended six-weeks’ summer study on spiritual warfare.

When we resume meeting in late August (exact date to be announced), our topic will be “Elements of Christian Character.”  In that vein, we will be learning what Scripture has to say about reputation, forgiveness, integrity, loyalty, compassion, passion, patience, anger, and conflict resolution.

As our secondary resource for this particular study we will utilize (by permission) an online database. We will, as always, take as our primary source and final authority Scripture itself.

For more information, feel free to speak to any member of our group:  Walter and Jane Townsend, Rich and Carole Beitz, Charles Richards, Williams Richards, Judy Rose, Harris Lake Smith, Tom and Linda Hayes.

Thursday Night Small Group

How can I always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks me for a reason for the hope that is in me?

How should I live tomorrow?

Should I forgive that person who cut my heart into pieces?

How do I know if I’m in God’s will?

Should I pay these bills or let them slide?

We all have a wonderful Guide Book that answers these questions and more!

But first we must know what the Bible says before we can do what it says. (And even then it’s not easy.)

Our Thursday night small group Bible study is a beginning.  We depend heavily upon the Holy Spirit to direct us, so that we can “let the word of Christ dwell in you (us) richly in all wisdom.”

We use a workbook, but no one will ever call upon you for an answer.  We urge you to come and hear the discussion, even if you haven’t been able to do your lesson that week.  We pray for each other, for All Saints and for our concerns, large and small.  And, just for fun, we go out to dinner together after completing 10 lessons. (There are 30 total.)

We would welcome a visit from anyone who might be interested in joining.  Let us know and we’ll provide a single lesson.

Our study this year of the Gospel of John will begin in September (date to be announced).  If you have questions, please ask a member of our group ~~~ Gretchen, The Garretys, Marty Courcelle, Jim Warmbrod, Shirley Phillips, Marcelo Psungo, M. Montgomery.  The Naillings will be joining us for the first time.
