Even Harleys need a blessing! After church on Sunday, July 19, I had the privilege of gathering with a small group around the Harley of Ed Whiting and Ramona Sparks to ask for God’s continued favor and protection over the motorcycle and its riders. This is but another reminder that we’re in desperate need of God in the everyday moments of life. God can certainly be found in the riding of a Harley, and so we acknowledge that together in the praying of these words to God:

May Almighty God, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go, preserve those who travel on this motorcycle, in particular Ed and Ramona; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them always in safety to their journey’s end; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, surround this vehicle and remain with you always. Amen.
